NCBIIntended use
These are high quality genomes of important cattle parasites that vector bovine pathogens. Researchers studying arachnids and tick genomics, comparative genomics, and arachnids evolution will find the assembled genome valuable. The datasets can be used to study genes involved in the development of pesticide resistance in these economically important tick species. Genes present in these genomes can provide foundational data for research to identify drug targets for chemical entities with acaricidal activity and also refine anti-tick vaccine approaches.Temporal Extent Start Date
