Our geographic area of responsibility covers Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming. The datasets presented here are derived from the USFS Land Status Records System (LSRS) and the USFS infrastructure database (Infra), and other current projects of a region wide nature, then processed using ArcMap and Google™ Earth Pro.
Geospatial data is maintained by multiple staffs throughout the region. This data pertains to all the National Forests and National Grasslands in the Rocky Mountain Region. Information presented here includes shapefiles, images, KML/KMZ files, and GIS resource links. Forest Supervisors maintain GIS data for various features on the ground. This “working” data is changed and updated frequently as ground conditions change, management decisions are made, or more accurate information is obtained. For the most current data please contact the National Forest or National Grassland directly.
