Diaphorina citri MCOT transcriptome

The Diaphorina citri MCOT v1.0 transcriptome is a genome independent transcriptome assembly that provides a comprehensive set of gene models and was performed with the MCOT pipeline where transcripts from Maker, Cufflinks, Trinity and Oases pipelines are combined.

    Homalodisca vitripennis genome annotations v0.5.3

The *Homalodisca vitripennis* genome was recently sequenced and annotated as part of the i5k pilot project by the Baylor College of Medicine. This dataset presents the *Homalodisca vitripennis* genome v1.0. This assembly version is the pre-release version, prior to filtering and quality control by the National Center for Biotechnology Information's GenBank resource.

Effects of tannin in dairy cow diets and land application of manure on soil gas fluxes and nitrogen dynamics

This experiment was designed to determine if tannin concentration and nitrogen (N) content of field-applied dairy cow manure influences greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from soil, soil N mineralization, and plant productivity. The data presented include experimental design, soil physical characteristics, gas fluxes, soil nitrogen at 0-10 cm depth, soil nitrogen at 10-20 cm depth, chemical characteristics of dairy manure, and crop yield and biomass characteristics.

Data from: Integrating classical genetics with chromosome-scale genome assembly to characterize a genetic sexing system in Bactrocera cucurbitae (Diptera: Tephritidae)

This data supports the manuscript "Integrating classical genetics with chromosome-scale genome assembly to characterize a genetic sexing system in Bactrocera cucurbitae (Diptera: Tephritidae)". The melon fly, Bactrocera cucurbitae, is a destructive agricultural pest and is the subject of strict quarantines that are enforced to prevent its establishment outside of its current geographic range. In addition to quarantine efforts, additional control measures are necessary for its eradication in the case of invasion to agriculturally rich areas. The sterile insect technique (SIT) has been effective in the control of several invertebrate pest species, and is part of a management strategy that regulatory agencies would like to expand to other important pests such as the melon fly.

            Onthophagus taurus Genome Annotations v0.5.3

The Baylor College of Medicine recently sequenced and annotated the Onthophagus taurus genome as part of the i5k pilot project. NOTE: This gene set is an unstable pre-release (v0.5.3), and was provided to facilitate manual curation and analyses before the official gene set is released. Gene identifiers from this gene set will likely not be maintained.

Annotated reference transcriptome for female Culicoides sonorensis biting midges

Unigene sequences were annotated by BlastX alignment to the non-redundant protein database (National Center for Biotechnology Information/GenBank) and the Aedes aegypti and Culex quinquefasciatus gene annotations (Vectorbase). This was done with a 1e-05 expectation value. Top hits are shown including accession numbers and description, if available. Unigene number and corresponding GenBank accession numbers are provided for all C. sonorensis genes.
