2017 Census of Agriculture - Census Data Query Tool (CDQT)

The Census Data Query Tool (CDQT) is a web-based tool that is available to access and download table level data from the Census of Agriculture Volume 1 publication. The data found via the CDQT may also be accessed in the NASS Quick Stats database. The CDQT is unique in that it automatically displays data from the past five Census of Agriculture publications.

Data from: The downed and dead wood inventory of forests in the United States

The Forest Inventory and Analysis program of the United States (US) Forest Service has conducted an annual downed dead wood (DDW) inventory on all coterminous US forest land since 2002 (~1 plot per 38,850 ha), with a sample intensification occurring since 2012 (~1 plot per 19,425 ha). The data are organized according to DDW components and by sampling information which can all be linked to a multitude of auxiliary information in the national database.

      The Triticeae Toolbox

[The Triticeae Toolbox](https://triticeaetoolbox.org/) (T3) webportal hosts data generated by the Triticeae Coordinated Agricultural Project (CAP), funded by the National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). T3 contains SNP, phenotypic, and pedigree data from wheat and barley germplasm in the Triticeae CAP integrating rapidly expanding DNA marker and sequence data with traditional phenotypic data.

Through the Clearinghouse you can find datasets related to forests and grasslands, including boundaries and ownership, natural resources, roads and trails, as well as datasets related to State and private forested areas, including insect and disease threat and surface water importance. You can also find downloadable map products, raster data, and links to other sources of forest resource information.

USDA Plants Database API in R

The USDA maintains a database of plant information - [USDA Plants Database](http://plants.usda.gov/java/) - containing trait data, some of its life history. This resource is an independently created RESTful API for that data. The API, and open issues for bugs/feature requests can be found in the GitHub repository. This tool can be used from the command line, R, Ruby, Python, a browser, etc.
