Data from: Tomato Chemical Defenses Intensify Corn Earworm (Helicoverpa zea) Mortality from Opportunistic Bacterial Pathogens
Mortality data of corn earworm (*Helicoverpa zea*) in response to tomato plants expressing variable levels of anti-herbivore defenses and the opportunistic pathogen *Serratia marcescens*. Data include plant chemical responses, insect mortality, and colony counts of bacteria in the hemolymph of the insect.
Data from: Mapping the Quantitative Field Resistance to Stripe Rust in a Hard Winter Wheat Population ‘Overley’ × ‘Overland’
This study was conducted to identify quantitative trait loci (QTL) associated with field resistance to stripe rust, also known as yellow rust (YR), in hard winter wheat. Stripe rust infection type and severity were rated in recombinant inbred lines (RILs, n=204) derived from a cross between hard red winter wheat cultivars ‘Overley’ and ‘Overland’ in replicated field trials in the Great Plains and Pacific Northwest.
Data from: Legacy genetics of Arachis cardenasii in the peanut crop - v2
This collection contains supplementary data for the manuscript "Legacy genetics of Arachis cardenasii in the peanut crop shows profound benefits of international seed exchange," which describes the impact of alleles from a wild relative of peanut, Arachis cardenasii, through analysis of those alleles across cultivars and breeding lines across many countries.
Data from: Genetic mapping and QTL analysis for peanut smut resistance
This collection contains supplementary information for the manuscript “Genetic mapping and QTL analysis for peanut smut resistance”, which reports the genetic map and quantitative trait loci associated with resistance to peanut smut, a disease caused by the fungus *Thecaphora frezii*. The information includes genotyping data of a 103 recombinant inbred line (RIL) population {susceptible *Arachis hypogaea* subsp. *hypogaea* × resistant synthetic amphidiploid [(*A. correntina* × *A. cardenasii*) × *A. batizocoi*]4×} and parental lines, generated with the Axiom_Arachis2 SNP array.

Data from: A deletion mutation in TaHRC confers Fhb1 resistance to Fusarium head blight in wheat
Fusarium head blight (FHB), which is mainly caused by *Fusarium graminearum*, is a destructive wheat disease that threatens global wheat production. *Fhb1*, a quantitative trait locus discovered in Chinese germplasm, provides the most stable and the largest effect on FHB resistance in wheat. Here we show that *TaHRC*, a gene that encodes a putative histidine-rich calcium-binding protein, is the key determinant of *Fhb1*-mediated resistance to FHB.
Data from: Genome of ‘Charleston Gray’, the principal American watermelon cultivar, and genetic characterization of 1,365 accessions in the U.S. National Plant Germplasm System watermelon collection
A high‐quality genome sequence of a principal American dessert watermelon cultivar ‘Charleston Gray’ is reported, to complement the existing reference genome from ‘97103’, an East Asian cultivar.
Data from: Overexpression of a Modified Plant Thionin Enhances Disease Resistance to Citrus Canker and Huanglongbing (HLB)
This study characterizes endogenous citrus thionins and investigates their expression in different citrus tissues. Since no HLB-resistant citrus cultivars have been identified, development of citrus resistant to both HLB and citrus canker through overexpression of a modified plant thionin is attempted.
