Data and code from: Synergistic soil, land use, and climate influences on wind erosion on the Colorado Plateau: Implications for management - v2

This dataset includes code and data to recreate analysis from the manuscript "Nauman, T.W., Munson, S.M., Dhital, S, Webb, N.P., Duniway, M.C. Synergistic soil, land use, and climate influences on wind erosion on the Colorado Plateau: Implications for managemen". In prep for STOTEN. This includes R statistical code, aeolian monitoring data and associated soil, land use, and climate explanatory data for each site, and a raster map showing areas modeled to have more sediment transport.

Data from: Not just crop or forest: building an integrated land cover map for agricultural and natural areas (spatial files)

To address the need for maps that characterize detailed land cover, including both agricultural and natural habitats, we combined two national datasets of land cover, the Landscape Fire and Resource Management Planning Tools (LANDFIRE) National Vegetation Classification (NVC) and United States Department of Agriculture, National Agricultural Statistics Service (USDA-NASS) Cropland Data Layer (CDL). Our workflow leveraged strengths of the NVC and the CDL to produce annual land-use rasters for 2012-2021.

          Iowa Geographic Map Server

This site provides free access to Iowa geographic map data through an on-line map viewer and through Web Map Service (WMS) connections for GIS. The site was developed by the Iowa State University Geographic Information Systems Support and Research Facility in cooperation with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This site was first launched in March 1999.

            Geospatial Data Gateway

The Geospatial Data Gateway (GDG) provides access to a map library of over 100 high resolution vector and raster layers in the Geospatial Data Warehouse. It is the one stop source for environmental and natural resource data, available anytime, from anywhere. It allows a user to choose an area of interest, browse and select data, customize the format, then download or have it shipped on media. The map layers include data on: Public Land Survey System (PLSS), Census data, demographic statistics, precipitation, temperature, disaster events, conservation easements, elevation, geographic names, geology, government units, hydrography, hydrologic units, land use and land cover, map indexes, ortho imagery, soils, topographic images, and streets and roads.
