P-TRAP Phosphorus Transport Reduction App

The P-TRAP software allows a user to design different types of phosphorus removal structures based on site conditions, phosphorus absorbing material characteristics and structure parameters. The P-TRAP software allows users to explore different designs to meet performance goals for P removal amounts and material lifetime. A database of P absorbing material characteristics is included based on previous laboratory experiments.

Comparison of four extractants used in soil phosphorus and potassium testing for two soils in a corn-wheat-soybean rotation in Tennessee receiving various amounts of P and K fertilizer

These soil samples are from field experiments initiated in 2009. There were two separate fertilizer rate trials at each location, one for P and one for K, and each was implemented in a corn-winter wheat-soybean rotation. The soils used in this study are from University of Tennessee (UT)’s Research and Education Center at Milan (35.9, -88.73333) and UT’s Highland Rim Research and Education Center at Springfield (36.466667, -86.816667).

UGA Variety Testing Corn Grain Evaluations 2014-2019

This data was collected and published by University of Georgia's Statewide Variety Testing program from 2014-2019. It consists of experimental (non-regulated) and commercially-released corn hybrids entered by seed companies.

Data from: A database for global soil health assessment

The SoilHealthDB database integrates soil health measurements conducted in the field from sites across the globe. SoilHealthDC currently focuses on four main conservation management methods: cover crops, no-tillage, agro-forestry systems, and organic farming. These studies represent 354 geographic sites (i.e., locations with unique latitudes and longitudes) in 42 countries around the world. The SoilHealthDB includes 42 soil health indicators and 46 background indicators that describe factors such as climate, elevation, and soil type.

Manuresheds: Redesigning crop-livestock agriculture for sustainable intensification

The Long-Term Agroecosystem Research (LTAR) network is exploring the concept of the “manureshed,” the manure-spreadable land in the geographic, environmental, and social radius of a confined livestock operation. To better understand opportunities for expanding manuresheds in the United States, we identified the nationwide, county-level pattern of livestock distribution, manure excess, and crop assimilation of manure nutrients.

            Conservation Practice Effectiveness (CoPE) Database

This database presents a compilation of data on the effectiveness of innovative practices developed to treat contaminants in surface runoff and tile drainage water from agricultural landscapes. Traditional conservation practices such as no-tillage and conservation crop rotation are included in the database, as well as novel practices such as drainage water management, blind inlets, and denitrification bioreactors.

                Modified Langmuir Equation Spreadsheet

Spreadsheet from the paper entitled: Revisiting a Statistical Shortcoming when Fitting the Langmuir Model to Sorption Data by C.H. Bolster, Journal of Environmental Quality, 2008, 37:1986-1992. Spreadsheet has been modified to make a correction to the calculation of E for weighted data. (3/18/2010).
