Data from: United States wildlife and wildlife product imports from 2000–2014

    Data are presented on 15 years of the importation of wildlife and their derived products into the United States (2000–2014), originally collected by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. These data include >2 million wildlife or wildlife product shipments, representing >60 biological classes and >3.2 billion live organisms. The data were curated and cleaned, and taxonomic information added to improve usability.

    Map of Soil Erosion Risk for the Mancos Shale Formation

      This product used the rangeland hydrology and erosion model (RHEM) to map erosion risks affecting water quality of the Colorado River that originate on the Mancos Shale formation in Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona. This high-resolution map of erosion risk developed from RHEM can help to prioritize specific areas for more intensive study and action.

      DRIFTSIM

        DRIFTSIM can be used to determine the effects of major drift-causing factors on the mean drift distances up to 656 feet from the release point for individual water droplets or classes of droplets.

        Management Zone Analyst Version 1.0 Software

          Management Zone Analyst (MZA) is a decision-aid for creating within-field management zones based on quantitative field information. It mathematically breaks up a field into natural clusters or zones based on the classification parameters and number of zones you specify.

          GPFARM

            GPFARM (Great Plains Framework for Agricultural Resource Management) is a simulation model computer application. It incorporates state of the art knowledge in agronomy, animal science, economics, weed science and risk management into a user-friendly, decision support tool. Producers, agricultural consultants, action agencies and scientists can utilize GPFARM to test alternative management strategies that may in turn lead to sustainable agriculture, a reduction in pollution, or maximum economic return. GPFARM Express contains default projects to allow users to quickly set up their operations.

            CCE Nitrogen Index Tool

              The Nitrogen Index is a tool written in the programming language Java that is used to calculate nitrogen uptake and leaching in farming techniques.

              BK-Economics

                BK-Economics is a software package that was developed by a team of scientists at the Carl Hayden Bee Research Center in Tucson, Arizona to assist commercial beekeepers in streamling their business practices. This software allows beekeepers to simulate years of business, taking into account factors like equipment purchases, labor force, transportation, marketing strategies, loans, honey flow, and other hive products without taking the usual risks. This software, when used in combination with the marketing strategy information in publication, can help beekeepers formulate a successful business plan when making financial decisions, expanding an operation or just starting out.

                Geomorphic Road Analysis and Inventory Package (GRAIP)

                  Geomorphic Road Analysis and Inventory Package (GRAIP) is designed to help land managers learn about the impacts of road systems on erosion and sediment delivery to streams. GRAIP couples analytical tools with an inventory process to build an approach to roads analysis that can be locally calibrated in a repeatable fashion and with minimal effort. The full scope of GRAIP includes methods to inventory roads and analyze the inventory for surface erosion, gully risk, landslide risk and stream crossing failure risks. Methods to measure road surface erosion from sample sites are also included.

                  ComBase: A Web Resource for Quantitative and Predictive Food Microbiology

                    ComBase includes a systematically formatted database of quantified microbial responses to the food environment with more than 65,000 records, and is used for: * Informing the design of food safety risk management plans * Producing Food Safety Plans and HACCP plans * Reducing food waste * Assessing microbiological risk in foods

                    The Range-Wide Bull Trout eDNA Project - USFS RMRS

                      The bull trout (*Salvelinus confluentus*) eDNA survey results Online Map allows users to view the survey results in an interactive map by coupling 1) predictions from the range-wide, spatially precise Climate Shield model on the location of natal habitats of bull trout with 2) a sampling template for every 8-digit hydrologic unit in the historical range of bull trout, based on the probability of detecting bull trout presence using environmental DNA (eDNA) sampling. The map provides the ability to zoom in and look at an area of interest, as well as to create queries or select an area to download points as a shapefile.
