Data from: Evaluating plant biodiversity measurements and exotic species detection in National Resources Inventory Sampling protocols using examples from the Northern Great Plains of the USA

The use of the standardized Whitaker plot method allows the authors to combine plant biodiversity and soil data from the northern Great Plains with other databases worldwide for larger-scale meta-analyses. The multiscale technique also enables comparison of vegetation dynamics at multiple scales.

Data and code from: Synergistic soil, land use, and climate influences on wind erosion on the Colorado Plateau: Implications for management - v2

This dataset includes code and data to recreate analysis from the manuscript "Nauman, T. W., Munson, S. M., Dhital, S., Webb, N. P., & Duniway, M. C. (2023). Synergistic soil, land use, and climate influences on wind erosion on the Colorado Plateau: Implications for management. Science of The Total Environment (p. 164605). https://doi.org/10.1016/j.scitotenv.2023.164605". This includes R statistical code, aeolian monitoring data and associated soil, land use, and climate explanatory data for each site, and a raster map showing areas modeled to have more sediment transport.

Long Term Ecological Research (LTER), Jornada Basin Data Catalog

This dataset links to the Jornada data homepage, which links to 153 individual datasets. Those datasets can then be searched based on Title, Keyword, or Investigator. The Jornada Basin Long Term Ecological Research Program (JRN LTER) has been investigating desertification processes since 1982.

        The Bushland, Texas Soybean Datasets

This parent dataset links to five seasons of datasets on soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] grown for seed at the USDA-ARS Conservation and Production Laboratory (CPRL), Soil and Water Management Research Unit (SWMRU), Bushland, Texas (Lat. 35.186714°, Long. -102.094189°, elevation 1170 m above MSL) in 1995, 2003, 2004, 2010, and 2019. In 1995, 2003, 2004, and 2010, soybean was grown on two large, precision weighing lysimeters, each in the center of a 4.44 ha square field. In 2019, soybean was grown on four large, precision weighing lysimeters and on the 4.44 ha square fields surrounding each lysimeter. The datasets for individual season years consist of soil water content, weather, crop growth and yield, agronomic calendar, water balance (evapotranspiration, precipitation, dew/frost, irrigation), and lysimeter energy and water balance data.

Southeast Purdue Agricultural Center (SEPAC) drainage research data, 1984-2020

This dataset contains research data obtained during a long-term subsurface drainage research project conducted at the Southeast Purdue Agricultural Center in Jennings County, Indiana, from 1984 to 2020. The original goals of the project were to evaluate the effects of different subsurface drain spacings (drainage intensities) on drain flow and corn growth and yield. Additional objectives were added over the years, especially related to movement of agricultural chemicals (nitrate-N, other nutrients, and pesticides) through the soil into the drainage waters.
