SGP97 Surface: High Plains Climate Network Data

NAL Geospatial Catalog
This dataset covers the complete SGP97 time period (18 June 1997 through 18 July 1997) and for the SGP97 domain. The SGP97 domain is approximately 97W to 99W longitude and 34.5N to 37N latitude. The HPCN dataset contains different parameters depending upon the reporting station. Each station provides Station Name, State, and Identification Number preceding that station's data within the dataset.

SGP97 GCIP/NESOB-97 Surface: Hourly Precipitation Composite

    NAL Geospatial Catalog
This precipitation composite is composed of data from several sources (i.e., National Weather Service (NWS) Cooperative Observers, National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP), and the daily precipitation data extracted from the NESOB 1997 Hourly Precipitation Composite).

SGP97 GCIP/NESOB-97 Surface: Daily Precipitation Composite

      NAL Geospatial Catalog
This precipitation composite is composed of data from several sources (i.e., National Weather Service (NWS) Cooperative Observers, National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP), and the daily precipitation data extracted from the NESOB 1997 Hourly Precipitation Composite).

Vegetation, rainfall simulation, and overland flow experiments before and after tree removal in woodland-encroached sagebrush steppe: the SageSTEP hydrology study

Simulated rainfall and overland-flow experiments are useful for enhancing understanding of surface hydrologic and erosion processes, quantifying runoff and erosion rates, and developing and testing predictive quantitative models. This extensive dataset consists of rainfall simulation and overland flow experimental plot data coupled with associated measures of vegetation, ground cover, and surface soil properties across point to hillslope scales. Data were collected at three woodland-encroached sagebrush (*Artemisia* spp.) rangelands in the Great Basin, USA, under undisturbed/untreated conditions and 1 yr to 9 yr following fire and/or mechanical tree-removal treatments.

          The Ogallala Agro-Climate Tool

The Ogallala Agro-Climate Tool is a Visual Basic application that estimates irrigation demand and crop water use over the Ogallala Aquifer region.

            Cotton Irrigation Tool

A Web Application for Estimating Irrigated and Dryland Cotton Profitability using Modeled Yield Data.

Annotations of Unigenes Assembled from Schizaphis graminum and Sipha flava

Transcriptomes were assembled de novo from pools of adult aphids that were feeding on sorghum and switchgrass. Reads from all replicates were pooled, normalized in silico to 25X coverage, and assembled using Trinity. Only the most abundant isoform for each unigene was retained for annotation and unigenes with transcripts per million mapped reads (TPM) less than 0.5 were removed from the dataset. The remaining unigenes were annotated using Trinotate with BLASTP comparisons against the Swiss-Prot/UniProt database. In addition, Pfam-A assignments were computed using hmmer, signal peptide predictions were performed using SignalP, and transmembrane domain predictions were performed using tmHMM. Gene ontology (GO assignments) were retrieved from Trinotate using the highest scoring BLASTp matches as queries.
