Genomes To Fields 2014

Phenotypic, genotypic, and environment data for the 2014 field season: The data is stored in [CyVerse](http://datacommons.cyverse.org/browse/iplant/home/shared/commons_repo/curated/Carolyn_Lawrence_Dill_G2F_Nov_2016_V.3).

Genomes To Fields (G2F) Inbred Ear Imaging Data 2017

A subset of ~30 inbreds were evaluated in 2014 and 2015 to develop an image based ear phenotyping tool. The data is stored in [CyVerse](http://datacommons.cyverse.org/browse/iplant/home/shared/commons_repo/curated/Edgar_Spalding_G2F_Inbred_Ear_Imaging_June_2017).

Data from: Chromosome-level genome assembly and transcriptome of the green alga Chromochloris zofingiensis illuminates astaxanthin production

For genome assembly of *C. zofingiensis* strain SAG 211–14, we used a hybrid approach blending short reads (Illumina), long reads (Pacific Biosciences of California), and whole-genome optical mapping (OpGen) (SI Appendix, SI Text and Datasets S1–S19, and refer to SI Appendix, Datasets Key). The combined power of these approaches yielded a high-quality haploid nuclear genome of *C. zofingiensis* of ∼58 Mbp distributed over 19 chromosomes (Fig. 2) in the tradition of model organism projects, as opposed to the fragmentary “gene-space” assemblies typical of modern projects using high-throughput methods and associated software. Approximately 99% of reads from the Illumina genomic libraries were accounted for, and nonplaceholder chromosomal sequence covers ∼94% of the optical map. Because no automated pipeline was found able to achieve the desired quality, methods are described in SI Appendix, SI Text.

        UAS User Log

The UAS User Log is a server-based, digital logbook that is accessible through any web browser on internet-connected devices. It is an outcome of multi-state teams working together to develop a common protocol for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS, or drones) operation for purposes such as research/production, spray application, and any other activity of interest.

The National Robotics Engineering Center Agricultural Person-Detection Dataset

Person detection from vehicles has made rapid progress recently with the advent of multiple high-quality datasets of urban and highway driving, yet no large-scale benchmark is available for the same problem in off-road or agricultural environments. Here we present the National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC) Agricultural Person-Detection Dataset to spur research in these environments. It consists of labeled stereo video of people in orange and apple orchards taken from two perception platforms (a tractor and a pickup truck), along with vehicle position data from Real Time Kinetic (RTK) GPS. We define a benchmark on part of the dataset that combines a total of 76k labeled person images and 19k sampled person-free images. The dataset highlights several key challenges of the domain, including varying environment, substantial occlusion by vegetation, people in motion and in nonstandard poses, and people seen from a variety of distances; metadata are included to allow targeted evaluation of each of these effects.

Maize Genetics Cooperation Stock Center Catalog of Stocks

The Maize Genetics Cooperation Stock Center is operated by USDA/ARS, located at the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign, and integrated with the National Plant Germplasm System (NPGS). The center serves the maize research community by collecting, maintaining and distributing seeds of maize genetic stocks, and providing information about maize stocks and the mutations they carry through the Maize Genetics and Genomics Database (MaizeGDB).
