NorWeST Stream Temperature Regional Database and Model

The NorWeST webpage hosts stream temperature data and climate scenarios in a variety of user-friendly digital formats for streams and rivers across the western U.S. Temperature data and model outputs, registered to NHDPlus stream lines, are posted to the website after QA/QC procedures and development of the final temperature model within a river basin.

The National Stream Internet project

National Stream Internet (NSI) project was developed as a means of providing a consistent, flexible analytical infrastructure that can be applied with many types of stream data anywhere in the country. A key part of that infrastructure is the NSI network, a digital GIS layer which has a specific topological structure that was designed to work effectively with SSNMs. The NSI network was derived from the National Hydrography Dataset Plus, Version 2 (NHDPlusV2) following technical procedures that ensure compatibility with SSNMs.

Compilation of climate data from heterogeneous networks across the Hawaiian Islands

This paper provides: (1) a summary of the available climate data in Hawai‘i including a detailed description of the various meteorological observation networks and data accessibility, and (2) a quality-controlled meteorological dataset across the Hawaiian Islands for the 25-year period 1990-2014. The dataset draws on observations from 471 climate stations and includes rainfall, maximum and minimum surface air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, downward shortwave and longwave radiation data.

Mt Hood National Forest GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data

Located twenty miles east of the city of Portland, Oregon and the northern Willamette River valley, the Mt. Hood National Forest extends south from the strikingly beautiful Columbia River Gorge across more than sixty miles of forested mountains, lakes and streams to Olallie Scenic Area, a high lake basin under the slopes of Mt. Jefferson. These data sets were made using ESRI© ArcGIS.

Maize Genetics Cooperation Stock Center Catalog of Stocks

The Maize Genetics Cooperation Stock Center is operated by USDA/ARS, located at the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign, and integrated with the National Plant Germplasm System (NPGS). The center serves the maize research community by collecting, maintaining and distributing seeds of maize genetic stocks, and providing information about maize stocks and the mutations they carry through the Maize Genetics and Genomics Database (MaizeGDB).

Ag Data Commons

MaizeGDB is a community-oriented, long-term, federally funded informatics service to researchers focused on the crop plant and model organism Zea mays. Genomic, genetic, sequence, germplasm, gene product, metabolic pathways, functional characterization, literature reference, diversity, and expression are among the datatypes stored at MaizeGDB. At the project's website are custom interfaces enabling researchers to browse data and to seek out specific information matching explicit search criteria. First released in 1991 with the name MaizeDB, the Maize Genetics and Genomics Database, now MaizeGDB (since 2003), is funded, developed, and hosted by the USDA-ARS located at Ames, Iowa.
