TERRA-REF Season 4 and 6 Sorghum phenotypes and agronomic metadata in BrAPI format: ARDN Products

ARDN (Agricultural Research Data Network) annotations for "TERRA-REF Season 4 and 6 Sorghum phenotypes and agronomic metadata in BrAPI format". The ARDN project ([https://data.nal.usda.gov/ardn](https://data.nal.usda.gov/ardn)) is a network of datasets harmonized and aggregated using the ICASA vocabulary, as recommended by USDA NAL ([https://data.nal.usda.gov/data-dictionary-examples](https://data.nal.usda.gov/data-dictionary-examples)) and described in detail here: [www.tinyurl.com/icasa-mvl](www.tinyurl.com/icasa-mvl) This data represents a small subset of the TERRA-REF release available on Dryad (LeBauer et al 2020), including harvested biomass for each cultivar, plot location, planting date, harvest date, fertilizer application, genotype / accession names and metadata, and additional agronomic management metadata for a population of Sorghum bicolor evaluated over two growing seasons. The data can be accessed through a BrAPI-compliant endpoint at terraref.org/brapi. This dataset is a snapshot of the TERRA-REF BrAPI endpoint contents, representing the minimum data and metadata required to run a crop model.

Legacy Phosphorus and Potassium Correlation Experiments: Qulin, Missouri

Correlation experiments for P and K were conducted from 1968-1973 at a research farm in Qulin, Missouri to better define the relationships between soil tests, crop yields, and fertilizer treatments. Three crop rotations each were conducted for P and K trials (ranges C, D, E, F, G, and H), and included corn, soybean, wheat, cotton, and sorghum.

Feedstock Readiness Level Evaluations Summary Table v4.1

The table in this dataset collates the results of the FSRL evaluations listed under the Farm2Fly Ag Data Commons datasets to enable users to quickly identify, review, and compare available evaluations. Feedstock readiness level evaluations are performed for a specific feedstock-conversion process combination and for a particular region. FSRL evaluations complement evaluations of Fuel Readiness Level (FRL) and environmental progress.

Data from: The Structure and Catalytic Mechanism of Sorghum bicolor Caffeoyl-CoA O-Methyltransferase

Caffeoyl-coenzyme A 3-O-methyltransferase (CCoAOMT) is an S-adenosyl methionine (SAM)-dependent O-methyltransferase responsible for methylation of the *meta*-hydroxyl group of caffeoyl-coenzyme A (CoA) on the pathway to monolignols, with their ring methoxylation status characteristic of guaiacyl or syringyl units in lignin. In order to better understand the unique class of type 2 O-methyltransferases from monocots, we have characterized CCoAOMT from sorghum (*Sorghum bicolor*; SbCCoAOMT), including the SAM binary complex crystal structure and steady-state enzyme kinetics.

                PhenologyMMS

PhenologyMMS is a simulation model that outlines and quantifies the developmental sequence of different crops under varying levels of water deficits, provides developmental information relevant to each crop, and is intended to be used either independently or inserted into existing crop growth models.

Annotations of Unigenes Assembled from Schizaphis graminum and Sipha flava

Transcriptomes were assembled de novo from pools of adult aphids that were feeding on sorghum and switchgrass. Reads from all replicates were pooled, normalized in silico to 25X coverage, and assembled using Trinity. Only the most abundant isoform for each unigene was retained for annotation and unigenes with transcripts per million mapped reads (TPM) less than 0.5 were removed from the dataset. The remaining unigenes were annotated using Trinotate with BLASTP comparisons against the Swiss-Prot/UniProt database. In addition, Pfam-A assignments were computed using hmmer, signal peptide predictions were performed using SignalP, and transmembrane domain predictions were performed using tmHMM. Gene ontology (GO assignments) were retrieved from Trinotate using the highest scoring BLASTp matches as queries.
